Post Workout Fudge Brownies (vegan | gluten-free | grain-free | refined sugar-free)

Chewy, gooey, fudgy, creamy, chocolatey…everything a brownie should be. No refined sugars, no flour and the perfect snack after a gym sesh. Dare I even say healthy brownie?!


I was so impressed with this experiment, no flour or melted chocolate and it still resembled a brownie. I guess flour really isn’t a brownie essential, but that gooey texture, now that’s compulsory, otherwise you’re in danger of producing a cake and a brownie definitely ain’t no cake!


Serving Size:

Makes 8-10 brownies


  • 1 banana mashed
  • 90g chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 200g peanut butter
  • 90g cocoa powder
  • 80g walnuts chopped
  • 65 ml maple syrup


  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Combine all ingredients together to a smooth even mixture.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes.

Allow to cool before cutting and eating straight after your workout, or any time actually.
