Chocolate Orange Crisps

I have never envisioned a big juicy orange as a sweet crisp. My dehydrator helped me to achieve that vision with these chocolate orange crisps. With a jar full of crisp slices of orange drenched in dark chocolate, who needs mars or snickers in their cupboards?!

Only 2 ingredients, how simple can cookery get! You’ll get through this like a breeze. Well saying that, the prep is like a breeze, the waiting is not so much. Though you can dehydrate these overnight so they’re ready for when you wake up, such a wonderfully fragrant smell to wake up to.

Serving size:

Serves 6

  • 3 large oranges sliced
  • 100g dark chocolate

  1. Place orange slices in an oven or dehydrator. If in dehydrator, follow manufacturer instructions, but should be roughly 10 hours at 60C.
  2. Melt chocolate and half dip orange slices in the melted chocolate.
  3. Leave to cool for chocolate to set.
