I have never envisioned a big juicy orange as a sweet crisp. My dehydrator helped me to achieve that vision with these chocolate orange crisps. With a jar full of crisp slices of orange drenched in dark chocolate, who needs mars or snickers in their cupboards?!
Only 2 ingredients, how simple can cookery get! You’ll get through this like a breeze. Well saying that, the prep is like a breeze, the waiting is not so much. Though you can dehydrate these overnight so they’re ready for when you wake up, such a wonderfully fragrant smell to wake up to.
- 3 large oranges sliced
- 100g dark chocolate
- Place orange slices in an oven or dehydrator. If in dehydrator, follow manufacturer instructions, but should be roughly 10 hours at 60C.
- Melt chocolate and half dip orange slices in the melted chocolate.
- Leave to cool for chocolate to set.
