These Chocolate Banana Popsicles the perfect summer snack, for kids and adults alike. They are basically creamy frozen bananas on sticks (nice cream in bar form) covered in a crisp, delicate chocolate shell and a multitude of tasty sprinkles – you can go crazy with them!
Unlike regular ice cream, ice lollies or other such frozen desserts, these popsicles provide you with a number of nutrients (plus extra if you use nuts and dried fruit sprinkles) as well as deliciousness, bonus!
Questions about Chocolate Banana Popsicles
What are popsicles? In England we call them ice lollies and basically they are just some form of ice cream or sweet frozen liquid on a stick.
Can frozen bananas go bad? If stored appropriately in a freezer below 0℃, these frozen banana popsicles can last 2-3 months. Though they wouldn’t last this long in my freezer – too delicious!
Can nuts be frozen? Yes nuts can be stored in the freezer. The texture is hardly unchanged, and in combination with chocolate and bananas in this recipe, they are perfect.
