How to make healthy brownies? To make these brownies you will need mashed sweet potato, coconut powder, plant milk, coconut sugar, baking powder, nut butter and maple syrup. Heat the milk, syrup and nut butter in a saucepan until the nut butter dissolved and the mixture becomes very liquid. Add to a large mixing bowl along with the cocoa powder, sweet potato mash, baking powder and coconut sugar. Place into ramekins or a brownie tin and bake for 20 minutes. allow to rest before serving.
Is cocoa powder sugar-free? Cocoa powder is usually sugar-free though some brands may add sugar and/or powdered milk since this can be added to hot water to make hot chocolate. Read the label to check the ingredients as you can never be too sure.

Makes 8 small brownies
Ingredients for sweet potato brownies:
- 300g sweet potato mashed
- 80g cocoa powder
- 50g coconut sugar
- 4 tbsp nut butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml plant milk
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- In a saucepan, heat the maple syrup, milk and nut butter until runny.
- Pour into a bowl and fold in the rest of the ingredients until a smooth batter results.
- Pour into individual ramekins and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
