  • 400 g brown lentils
  • 1.5 litre water
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp dried chillies
  • Salt to taste


  • Place all ingredients in a slow cooker or rice cooker and simmer for 1-1.5 hours.
