Red Velvet Cake Balls

These healthy no-bake Red Velvet Cake Balls are not only vegan, but also gluten-free, flourless and come with a protein boost. Super simple and easy, they don’t even require any cooking.

Ingredients

  • 120 g almond flour
  • 3 tbsp shredded coconut plus extra for decorating
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp beetroot powder
  • 50 ml plant milk
  • 9 medjool pitted dates

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth.
  • Remove and shape into balls.
  • Dust with shredded coconut.
  • Chill in fridge for 30 minutes.

Notes

  • Almond flour can be replaced with coconut flour or oat flour.
  • Dates can be replaced with other dried fruits such as figs, apricots or prunes, those these may alter the flavour slightly.
  • Protein powder can be added to give an additional protein boost.
